Welcome Home from Africa Andrew and Katie

We are happy that we got to see your very tried faces Saturday August 23rd at the airport. It was amazing hearing the many stories funny ones, sad ones, scary ones like the Egyptian cobra snake. We will be praying that God would speak to your hearts , continue directing you as you work through your hearts desires. Follow hard after Him. What a joy it was to see how you touched so many people in Africa. Your energy and passion for the Lord always oozes on everyone . I'm sure Bethesda ministries and all the children will never forget the Dodd's .

Celebrating Mom's birthday

Mom was excited to spend a couple of days with us. August 11 she had her sixty fifth birthday. This spring she had two operations . The doctors had to repair a very large hernia. It has taken her quite sometime to recover. Celebrating her birthday at Kevin and Angela's house really made her day. Holding her Great grand baby Elizabeth was the highlight of the day . I pray this coming year our Lord will bless her with better health, and good times together with all of her family.

August 4th -6th
Rich, Kyle and I spent a couple of days with Katie and Andrew. They have been planning a mission trip to Africa since the beginning of the year. They will be working at Bethesda Ministries (an orphanage) helping anyway they can. We were glad we got to see their excitement this morning. They will arrive in South Africa Thursday afternoon. Katie has had a passion to help in this country for many years. Follow them on their blog at http://thedoddjourney.blogspot.com
