Our little granddaughter Elizabeth Lyn was born July 29th at 12:56am . She's just the perfect size 8lbs 1 oz. Labor and delivery took longer than we all expected. Our Lord gave the Doctors , nurses, Kevin , and Angela wisdom ,strength, insight and a healthy baby girl . Angela is doing well after having a c-section, she did remarkable!!! It was the waiting that was hard. We left our home at 12:00 pm in the afternoon 7/28 thinking it wasn't going to be too long before Angela would be delivering . So I didn't bring too much with me. After having no reading materials with me. I read every magazine that was in sight,walked and ate cookies from the snack bar and food courts , coffee, chili, coffee, ice cream, coffee,well I now know that I'm stress eater. Around 11:00 pm decisions were being made for at least an hour on bended knees I prayed the hardest ever, no bible with me,the verse I held onto was Proverb 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. That's what I did trusted in my Lord. What a gift he's given to us. A precious life. I will praise him and thank you Lord !! Help us to teach this little one about you.

7/28 Waiting

Well it's 8:41 am and we haven't heard any news yet.The anticipation is building, Rich took off work and we are both home waiting for the call from the kids.

7/27 Special delivery

We just got a call (9:45pm)from the kids, they are at the hospital. Angela is in labor. They arrived at around 8:00pm . The hospital schedule a induction since she is now 42 weeks. So far Angela and baby are doing very good, pray with us as we await the delivery their baby . I'll keep you posted.

Summeer fun

We found a new park, George George Memorial Park . It is where the old hill crust golf course was on Moravian . Meijers is being built there now. Part of land they made a very beautiful park. There is a playground , a paved path for a 2 mile walk,water ponds, water fountains , you could even bring your dog, the landscape is heavenly.

7/26 Finished bathroom

The bathroom is finished. It turned out beautiful!! We're very happy with the results. We started planning back in April. All the shopping is finally over. There was so many decisions to make, on everything. It's so nice to see it all come together. A friend from church helped me with pick out the paint color. We picked Basket Beige. We love it.

Kyle's missions to Jamaica 08'

On July 6th through the 13th me and my youth group went down to Jamaica for a missions trip. Everyday, Monday through Friday, we ran two VBS at two separate churches, one in the morning the other in the afternoon. Hundreds of Jamaican kids and teenagers came to participate. We were split up into four different color groups. We ran the VBS on a rotation schedule; about every 20 mins or so we'd switch to the next activity. Such as crafts, games, story, or watching Veggie Tales. It's so surprising how easily those kids were willing to accept and love you even though your different. We also had an opportunity to visit an orphanage and an infirmary. Both of these places are filled with people who aren't shown love and it was a complete joy that we could do just that. Whether it was playing a card game at the orphanage or helping serve bread and tea at the infirmary, the people just loved having us there. This was an amazing experience for me, I loved every moment of it. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to go next year. Kyle

Bathroom7/14 thur 17th

Well the granite was installed on Wednesday 7/16. It is amazing how fast these men had it cut and fitted.It took about hour and a half. Then the plumbing and faucet went in Thursday morning . Wow the construction is completed by 7/17. So from start to finish it took 16 days! It is beautiful! Now Rich must paint. Picking colors is not an easy task.

Today all the grout is finished. The vanity went in and the toilet was fitted. Also he wired our new light fixtures. Now we wait for the corner top to be cut. It's coming along so nice.

Bathroom Remodeling/ our bathroom before construction begins

We finally decided to remodel our main bathroom which is many years over due. I didn't realize what a big project this would be. Decorating is very overwhelming to me and Rich wasn't' going to tackle this huge job himself . We hired the job out to a company in St. Clair shore named Kopke's. I am so pleased so far of how they work , they guided in decisions with tile, tub, toilet, vanity, counter top, lighting fixtures, electricity,and plumbing. I now know more than I need to know about grout and tile shops. We are so excited to see all our plans come to life, I just have to share!!!

Weekend Visit 7/11/08

Katie came in to visit for the weekend, but Andrew was not able to come because of his job. We had Kevin, Angela, and G over to BBQ. Only one missing was Kyle, he is in Jamaica right now on a missions trip with church. After dinner, the old timers and young ones competed in a Boccie Ball game. It was so much fun! Later, we had a great time of fellowship over homemade ice cream (made by Kevin and Angela) and brownies (baked by G). It is so good to spend time with some of my kids.
